Involvement of private lecturers in KG to PG scheme sought
Telangana Private Lecturers Association (TGPLA) demanded the State government to involve private lecturers in the implementation of ‘Free KG to PG education’ programme.
Warangal: Telangana Private Lecturers Association (TGPLA) demanded the State government to involve private lecturers in the implementation of ‘Free KG to PG education’ programme.
They wanted the government to pay a monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000 to private lecturers and provide health insurance worth Rs 10 lakh. Resolutions in this connection were passed at a meeting of the Association office bearers here on Thursday. The Association urban president T Sridhar, working president Ch Shanker, and general secretary Ramesh Reddy, who addressed the gathering, also asked the government to provide two-bed room houses to eligible private lecturers.
With reference to ‘College Bandh’ called on January 22 in Warangal by S Srinivas Reddy in the name of the association, the TGPLA leaders said the said person was not connected with the association. The TGPLA was not supporting the bandh.
