Warangal: Telangana Private Lecturers Association (TGPLA) demanded the State government to involve private lecturers in the implementation of ‘Free KG to PG education’ programme.

They wanted the government to pay a monthly honorarium of Rs 30,000 to private lecturers and provide health insurance worth Rs 10 lakh. Resolutions in this connection were passed at a meeting of the Association office bearers here on Thursday. The Association urban president T Sridhar, working president Ch Shanker, and general secretary Ramesh Reddy, who addressed the gathering, also asked the government to provide two-bed room houses to eligible private lecturers.

With reference to ‘College Bandh’ called on January 22 in Warangal by S Srinivas Reddy in the name of the association, the TGPLA leaders said the said person was not connected with the association. The TGPLA was not supporting the bandh.
