Excise police seize 6,116 litres of spurious toddy
The Excise Department sleuths seized the 6, 16 litres of spurious toddy on Tuesday at Borgaon(P) village of Nizamabad mandal in the district after conducting raids.

Speaking to the media, the Nizamabad District Excise Superintendent Gangaram said that they carried out the raids on the directive of the Director of Enforcement, Prohibition and Excise Akun Sabarwal During the raids, they found that spurious toddy was being transported at Borgaom-P village of Nizamabad mandal and seized 6,116 litres of spurious toddy which was being transformed in the two DCM vans.
Gangaram said that they seized the two DCM vehicles, arrested ten people and registered bind over cases against them. He said they had sent the samples of the seized toddy and were investigating in to the case. According to the information, they should register the cases on toddy license holders.
The Excise Superintendent warned the spurious toddy manufacturers that if anyone was found making spurious toddy, cases would be registered against them under the Preventive Detention Act.
