Kazipet (Warangal): The Congress leaders of Kazipet demanded the Election Commission (EC) to conduct the upcoming elections to Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) by using ballot instead of electronic voting machines (EVMs).
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, Warangal district official spokesperson Md Ankus, Pasunuri Manohar and Mekala Upender accused the TRS government of tampering EVMs to win the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
Hence, the ensuing GWMC elections should have ballot as there is every possibility that the ruling TRS resort again to tamper the EVMs to rig the results in their favour, the leaders said.
