Manuguru (Khammam): The police have foiled the indefinite hunger strike of former MLA Rega Kanta Rao in the early hours of Wednesday.

The former MLA launched indefinite hunger strike on Monday demanding fulfilment of the promise of providing jobs to land ousters of Manuguru open cost.

The police shifted Kantha Rao to Bhadrachalam area hospital for medical tests. Meanwhile, protesting against the police action, Congress leaders and activists gave a call for town bandh on Wednesday.
