Lord appears in Sri Krishna avatar
On the fourth day of ‘Brahmotsavam’ in the Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple here on Sunday, the Deity appeared to the devotees in Sri Krishna avatar while being taken out in a procession in the streets of the town. The Lord had taken a ride on Hamsa Vahanam on Saturday night. The streets were brightly lit.
Yadagirigutta: On the fourth day of ‘Brahmotsavam’ in the Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple here on Sunday, the Deity appeared to the devotees in Sri Krishna avatar while being taken out in a procession in the streets of the town. The Lord had taken a ride on Hamsa Vahanam on Saturday night. The streets were brightly lit.
Among those present during the procession were Devasthanam Executive Officer Geeta Reddy and Chairman Narasimha Murthy, besides the staff of the Endowments Department. The temple officials have arranged free food and medicines to the devotees during the Brahmotsavam, besides water and shade in the form of ‘shamiyanas’.
Bhajans, harikatha, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dances, Yakshaganam and magic shows are attracting the attention of the large number of devotees.
