The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has adopted Narsingapuram village in Nizamabad District to make it 100% Digitally Literate Village under ‘Digithon’ initiative in association with Telangana University.

The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) has adopted Narsingapuram village in Nizamabad District to make it 100% Digitally Literate Village under ‘Digithon’ initiative in association with Telangana University. As part of this initiative, TITA has successfully completed the first stage of Digithon household survey to choose the right one from each household out of total 247 households, who is easily susceptible to learning of Digital Literacy.

"TITA after the intensive household survey identified 139 digital illiterate households out of 247. TITA & NDLM team to give Digital Literacy sessions to these 139 villages starting from 19th March in Telangana University for 20hours. This new initiative from TITA will provide people the opportunity to learn basic skills such as how to use a computer, Smartphone, navigate the web and processing basic Internet transactions which help to gain access to vital online resources like bill payment services, booking travel tickets and various e-commerce platforms. This initiative also prepares the people to participate in today’s social and economic mainstream.” said TITA Founder & President Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

“We are proud to expand Digithon village adoption program to another village, which will be in a position to provide digital training to vulnerable populations. This diverse knowledge community that comes together for Digital Literacy mission enables us to engage as trainers in preparing people who are not connected to Digital Tools and platforms which improve their quality of living,” said TITA Vice President Ranapratap Bojjam.

Narsingapuram Sarpanch Suvarna Murali, TITA Vice President Mr. Ranapratap Bojjam, General Secretary Naresh Ragi, Joint Secretary Mr. Ravi Anthony, Vaman, Telangana University official Dr. Aarathi Garu, and others participated in the event.
