Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday slashed the hopes of thousands of youth in the state by saying that he had never promised a job for every household in his manifesto.

Speaking in the legislative assembly, KCR responding to the appropriation bill said that it is impossible to offer a government job for each one for more than three crore families in the state. The Chief Minister exhorted students to look out for self-employment rather relying on government jobs. However, KCR mentioned that the one lakh vacancies would be filled for various governmental posts and stated that the delay was taking place only due to the ongoing staff division between the two Telugu states.
