A total of 40,311 candidates have registered to appear for the written examination of Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) to be held in Warangal on May 1, stated Additional Joint Collector S Tirupathi Rao. During a video conference with the School Education Principal Secretary Ranjeev R Acharya on Tuesday, Tirupathi Rao informed that all arrangements were being made for the conduct of the test. 

Warangal: A total of 40,311 candidates have registered to appear for the written examination of Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) to be held in Warangal on May 1, stated Additional Joint Collector S Tirupathi Rao. During a video conference with the School Education Principal Secretary Ranjeev R Acharya on Tuesday, Tirupathi Rao informed that all arrangements were being made for the conduct of the test.

A total of 177 examination centres are being set up for paper-I and paper-II which would be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 to 5 pm respectively. All test centres are located at the district headquarters for the convenience of the candidates. A total of 1,911 officials are being deputed for conducting the test in a transparent manner. First-aid kits, drinking water, ANMs would be provided at test centres, Tirupathi Rao said.

The TSRTC officials were asked to run special buses on the examination day for the convenience of the candidates and elaborate security arrangements would also be made for the smooth conduct of the test, he added. Principal Secretary Acharya told the officials to ensure that oral rehydration salts (ORS) packets should also be provided at the examination centres in view of the severe heat wave conditions. District Education Officer P Rajiv, Deputy Education Officer T Ravinder and others were present.
