Monsoon rains in Hyderabad on June 5?
The Indian Meteorological Department have revealed that the monsoon will hit Kerala on June 1 and reach Rayalaseema the same day. Telangana would witness the monsoon on June 5, ahead of the usual date - June 13.
The Indian Meteorological Department have revealed that the monsoon will hit Kerala on June 1 and reach Rayalaseema the same day. Telangana would witness the monsoon on June 5, ahead of the usual date - June 13. The announcement regarding the monsoon’s arrival will be made officially on May 15.
Last year, the rains had arrived on a single day across TS and Tamil Naidu - June 13. The Met department officials inform that due to the upper air trough over Telangana and approaching southerly moist winds, the ongoing thunderstorm activity will continue across the districts in the state. As per the calculations of the Indian Meteorological Department in Hyderabad, rainfall was recorded at isolated places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Even few regions over Coastal AP witnessed a rise in maximum temperatures while a fall was marked at certain places in Rayalaseema.
Jangamaheswarapuram in Coastal AP recorded the highest temperature of 42ºC while heavy rainfall warning was issued at isolated places in the Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts.
