Woman’s harrowing plight at govt hospital

Karimnagar: In yet another instance of negligence on the part of government hospital doctors, a woman, who came from Dharmaram mandal, for delivery has escaped from jaws of death.

The woman, Bhagya, faced harrowing experience. Because of the doctors’ alleged negligence puss was formed where sutures were threaded. Doctors tried to wash of their hands by shifting her to MGM hospital as an emergency case. At MGM the staff did not even dress up Bhagya’s wound and on the top of it allegedly abused her.

This treatment forced the patient to come back to the government hospital. But she was not only denied entry, the doctors lodged a police complaint against her.

However, the police realised that she had a genuine complaint. Subsequently, the staff was forced to admit her. But the doctors did not treat Bhagya for three days. It was only when The Hans India/HMTV questioned the doctors/staff why she was being denied treatment that they relented and virtually saved her life.

Her husband Anil told The Hans India that he had come to the government hospital for her delivery as he did not have money to admit her in a private nursing home. But the doctors’ negligence had caused untold hardship to her.

He said but for the intervention of the media, she would have been left unattended. Anil thanked The Hans India for their timely intervention.
