​Sangareddy: As a response to the shocking incident where seven people were electrocuted in Degulwadi village in Narayankhed constituency on May 2, the State government has sanctioned Rs 10 Crore for Medak district for raising the height of live wires near road crossings and for procuring higher and stronger electricity poles to support these wires.

Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, who held a review meeting with officials of various departments at the District Collectorate on Saturday, directed the officials to complete the renovation works by the end of June.

The minister also pointed out that out of 85,000 Deepam connections sanctioned for the districts, only 33,883 have received them. He directed the officials to complete the task within 51 days.
