Khammam: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswar Rao questioned the rationale behind the delay in High Court bifurcation even after the formation of Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, the Minister found fault with the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, for not cooperating with the Telangana government in bifurcating the High Court.

He also found fault with the Opposition parties for creating hurdles for the proposed irrigation projects in the State. “Those who oppose the irrigation projects will bite the dust in the people’s court,” he said.

If anybody comes up with better ideas in regard with designs of the proposed projects, the government will certainly take note of them, Tummala said, advising the Opposition parties to stop the mudslinging on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and not come in the way of development.

He said that though the previous government had spent nearly Rs 1,50,000 crore the name of irrigation projects in the undivided AP, none of the projects in Telangana made headway.

Stating that 8,167 tanks in the first phase and 10,122 tanks in the second phase have been developed in the State, the Minister commended the Khammam district administration for standing first in the implementation of the Mission Kakatiya programme in the State.
