Nizamabad: In response to bandh call given by the Telangana Navanirmana Vidyardhi Sena in protest against the fee hike in private schools, all the educational institutions in the district remained shut on Tuesday. The Sena demanded the State government to implement the law on regulating the school fee structure.
In this connection, the sena also held a dharna in front of a private school. Speaking on the occasion, Telangana Navanirmana Vidyardhi Sena general secretary P Srikanth said the goveremnt should ;put an end to the commercialisation of education and regulate the fee structures in prvate schools.
He accsued the private school managements of hikeing the fee indiscriminately putting the paents and students to immense hardships as most ofthem could not afford the education.
The Vidyardhi Sena activists had a scuffle with the police when the latter tried to persuade the students to leave the venue. They wer arrested and shifted to a police station. The students also wanted the government ot strengthen the government schools by providing amenities and appointing qualified teachers .
