He was reviewing the implementation of the Urban Land Ceiling Act with Joint Collector Bharati Holikeri and Additional Joint collector Ashok Kumar and with officials concerned. He sought information from the authorities on the extent of surplus land identified in Hyderabad and Secunderabad divisions.

The Collector showered several questions on officials and asked them to furnish details like the number of applicants who were keen to get their lands regularised, the number of notices served on them, the number of owners who have applied prior to the notice being served and the number of applicants who have applied after being served notices.

“If people do not respond even after being served with notices, pull down the structures, if any, on the land and install boards indicating that it is government land. Construct compound walls around them,” he said. Revenue Divisional Officer Nikhila informed the Collector that 181 applicants have been residing in 121 land parcels.

Notices served on 91 occupants
Revenue Divisional Officer Raghuram Sarma informed the Collector that 222 land parcels have been identified under the limits of the revenue division and 184 occupants of land applied for regularisation of land.

Collector Rahul Bojja asked officials to surpass the Haritha Haram target by planting more than 50,000 saplings in the district. District Youth Welfare Officer Motilal informed that 43,094 saplings were planted against a targeted 53,033 saplings.
