Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will collect 1.5 per cent additional fares in the special buses to be operated during Krishna Pushkaralu, which are going to kickstart from August 12.

The corporation would ply nearly 400 buses during the eleven-day event to various places including Srisailam, Vijayawada, Beechpally and Nagarjunasagar. As part of this, the corporation will run 81 buses to Srisailam, 135 to Beechupally, 90 to Nagarjunasagar and 50 to Vijayawada.

Stating that the buses would be operated for every five minutes, TSRTC Rangareddy regional manager R Gangadhar said the number of buses would be increased after seeing the response from passengers.

He said the corporation was also launching ‘service at your door step’ facility, where the buses would be sent to particular location if 30 or more passengers want to board the bus. The general manager further added that since the buses would have to return empty, the corporation was collecting 1.5 per cent extra charge.
