Nalgonda: CPM State secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram warned the government to fulfill the genuine demands of oustees of Tail Pond project, otherwise the party activists along with the victims will break the gates of the project.

On the concluding day of the two-day padayatra, party district unit on Thursday arranged a public meeting near the project at Adavidevulapally of Damercherla mandal in the district.

Addressing the gathering, Tammineni criticised the government for turning blind eye on the oustees of Tail Pond project.

He advised the government to do justice to the oustees according to their rights. As many as 1,000 farmers under the Tail Pond didn’t get any compensation till date.

He demanded jobs to eligible youth of eight inundated villages of the project besides compensation to the oustees according to Land Acquisition Act, 2013.

The party is planning to conduct Maha Dharna with the project oustees at Hyderabad on July 26.
