Hyderabad: The Congress Legislature Party on Saturday alleged the involvement of IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao in the sensational EAMCET -2 question paper leakage.

Addressing the media on Saturday, leader of Opposition in Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir along with MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, said they had evidence to prove their accusation.

They said the State government had assigned the contract for online and offline registrations, biometric attendance and printing of OMR sheets for EAMCET-2 to Magnetic InfoTech Pvt Ltd, a company reportedly owned by a close friend of KTR.

The Congress leaders said the company was blacklisted by the SSC Board and Board of Intermediate Education. Despite receiving a negative feedback from JNTU authorities, the government went ahead and assigned the contract to the company, they said.

Demanding that the government order a CBI probe into the matter, they said that since the relatives of the Chief Minister were believed to be involved in the scam, an impartial probe cannot be expected from the State government agencies. They said they were willing to provide documentary evidence to the CBI.

Commenting on the High Court order which set aside the appointment of Vice-Chancellors, Shabbir said it was a slap on the face of the TRS government.

He said that the High Court had struck down more than 15 major decisions taken by the TRS Government, to date, which included decisions on number plates, Parliamentary Secretaries, etc. Shabbir said that despite these setbacks in the judiciary, the Chief Minister was reluctant to change his attitude.
