Wife of Nayeem’s aide files habeas corpus petition

A day after the killing of gangster Nayeemuddin in an encounter, a habeas corpus petition was moved on Tuesday by the wife of Neela Sreedhar Goud, a close associate of Nayeem. The petitioner alleged that the police had whisked away her husband on Monday.

She sought a direction to the police to produce her husband before the court. Neela Srilatha, a resident of Vanasthalipuram in city, on Tuesday moved the court alleging that the police had picked her husband from their house soon after the death of Nayeemuddin and till date his whereabouts were not known.

While apprehending the danger to life of her husband in the hands of police, she urged the court to direct the police to produce her husband before the court.
