Elaborate arrangements have been made by Medical and Health Department deploying 267 medical officers, 1,193 paramedical staff, 130 ambulances and establishing 89 medical camps in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts for the Krishna Pushkaralu to be held from August 12 to 23. 

Hyderabad: Elaborate arrangements have been made by Medical and Health Department deploying 267 medical officers, 1,193 paramedical staff, 130 ambulances and establishing 89 medical camps in Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda districts for the Krishna Pushkaralu to be held from August 12 to 23.

On the directions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Medical and Health Minister Dr K Lakshma Reddy is monitoring the situation in the two districts. He said that the medical staff would work in three shifts round the clock. Besides, all the drugs, including those needed in emergencies, had been kept ready, he said.

All government hospitals had also been maintaining stocks of medicines, including those used to cure snake and scorpion bites. The ambulances are equipped with first-aid kits, 100 of which had been given to Nalgonda district police and 200 to Mahbubnagar district police, the Minister said.
