Cultural fiesta in store for pilgrims
Minister for Tourism and Culture Azmeera Chandulal has said that cultural festivities will be organised from August 12 to 23 on account of Krishna Pushkaralu utilising the services of over 12,000 artistes. The celebrations will showcase Telangana heritage and culture, he said.
12,000 artistes to perform a wide array of items at Pushkaralu
Hyderabad: Minister for Tourism and Culture Azmeera Chandulal has said that cultural festivities will be organised from August 12 to 23 on account of Krishna Pushkaralu utilising the services of over 12,000 artistes. The celebrations will showcase Telangana heritage and culture, he said.
Addressing the media here on Thursday, he said that the festivities would be conducted in the catchment area villages of the river like Beechpalli, Rangapur, Somasila, Krishna Bridge, Pasupula, Alampur, Vadapalli, Mattampalli and Nagarjunasagar.
The festivities would begin at 6 am and conclude at 10 pm during the 12-day event. The cultural programmes to be presented include devotional and spiritual programmes, bhajans, discourses, Chindu Yakshagana show, Oggu Katha, classical music, mythological dramas and so on. The government was spending Rs 1 crore to organise the festivities, he said.
