Koilsagar water released to 20k acres
Health Minister C Laxma Reddy and MLAs Ala Venkateshwar Reddy and S Rajender Reddy released Koilsagar project water to the ayacut here on Thursday.

About 315 cusecs a day is being drawn from the Jurala project to supply water to Koilsagar. The water level in Koilsagar stands at 16 ft now against its full reservoir capacity of 33 ft.
About 90 cusecs of water is being released a day through the right canal and 150 cusecs through the left canal to safeguard the interests of farmers of the ayacut.
Speaking on the occasion, Laxma Reddy urged farmers to utilize the water in an optimum manner by adopting modern methods of cultivation.
The ayacut of Koilsagar increased from 12,000 acres to 20,000 acres now. Earlier, the Minister planted saplings at Nagaram Thanda as part of Telanganaku Haritha Haram.
