Telangana TDP demands judicial probe into Nayeem killing

​Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam Party (T-TDP) working president Revanth Reddy on Thursday demanded a judicial probe into the Nayeem encounter by a sitting High Court judge, as the party does not believe in probe into the incident by the State police.

In a press release here on Thursday, he minced no words when he said that the T-TDP would not tolerate if the State government hatched a conspiracy to fling mud on respectable families like that of slain leader Madhava Reddy, taking advantage of the encounter.

There was a flood of information on the encounter, which included media leaks by the police and information which the media gathered using its own sources, in the absence of official statement by the government, he said.

He opined that the government should clarify on every aspect of the incident. He said he was pained at media reports linking Uma Madhava Reddy with Nayeem. He warned the government that the T-TDP would not tolerate even if a minor damage was caused to Uma Madhava Reddy family.
