Hyderabad: Telangana Congress legislator S Sampath Kumar on Tuesday handed over “Dasti” notices served by the Supreme Court (service of the notice of the petitioner to the respondent in person) to the Speaker S Madhusudhanachary and Congress MLAs who had joined TRS.

Sampath filed a petition against the turncoats in the Apex court and had alleged that the Speaker of the Assembly had not taken any action on the complaints filed by the Congress party seeking their disqualification under anti-defection law. Dasti notices were served on G Vittal Reddy ( Muthole- Adilabad district), K Kanakaiah ( Yellandu – Khammam district ), K Yadaiah ( Chevella – Ranga Reddy district) and DS Redya Naik elected from Dornakal assembly constituency in Warangal district. Another petition against three Congress MLAs- P Ajay from Khammam assembly constituency, Bhaskar Rao (Miryalaguda ) and Ch Rammohan Reddy elected from Makthal constituency would also be filed in the court.

Sampath said that the Congress would pursue the issue till the elected members were disqualified from their posts as they joined TRS by defying the anti defection law. The Congress MLA said he had also taken acknowledgements from these MLAs after the notices were handed over to them.
