A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice U Durga Prasad Rao on Wednesday directed the government of Telangana State to list out various steps taken to resettle and rehabilitate the landless poor and families after procuring the lands under the GO 123 for Mallannasagar Irrigation Project and other irrigation projects in the State.

The bench pointed out that Schedule 3 of the Central Act 2013 for the land acquisitions spoke about the protection of the affected families of landless poor for the acquisition of lands for the irrigation projects.

While granting the time to till October 17, the bench directed the Advocate General to explain the details sought by the court in an affidavit.
