The CM needs to fulfill his long list of promises made during the 2014 elections and thereafter, he demanded, advising KCR not to neglect Karimnagar people, who gave him a handsome mandate. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Prabhakar questioned KCR the rationale behind announcing a medical college to Siddipet without fulfilling his promise made to Karimnagar. “KCR announced a medical college for Karimnagar during his maiden visit to Karimnagar on August 5, 2014. This apart, he (KCR) owed to develop the government hospital in Karimnagar and Singareni Hospital in Godavarikhani on par with the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad.”

Talking on the formation of new districts, Prabhakar criticised the government for slicing Karimnagar into seven pieces. It may be mentioned here that government besides splitting Karimnagar into four districts – Karimnagar, Jagtial, Peddapally and Sircilla, also merged some parts of the district into Warangal, Siddipet and Bhupalpally districts.Prabhakar also criticised the TRS government for ignoring the proposal to name the new districts after famous personalities like PV Narasimha Rao, Konda Laxman Bapuji and Chakali Ilamma. The former MP also found fault with the government for not involving the Opposition parties and other people’s organizations in the celebration of new districts.
