Hyderabad: Reverend Avulamanda Christopher Solomon Raj, a vice-chairman of Medak Diocese, has been consecrated as the eighth Bishop of Medak Diocese of the Church of South India (CSI), in Chennai on Thursday.

Rev Christopher Solomon Raj, who is also a Presbyter in Holy Trinity Church at Bolarum, is said to be the first Bishop of Medak Diocese after the newly-formed Telangana State.
