Hyderabad: The State Human Rights Commission on Thursday asked for detailed report from DCP (South) over rape of a 14-year old which took place in Uppuguda under Chantrinaka police station limits on September 24.

Acting on a petition filed MBT spokesman Amjedullah Khan on Thursday, the SHRC sought a detailed report from V Satyanarayana, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, by November 1.

In his petition, the leader questioned the handling of the case by the local Inspector, where the accused Ajith Kumar was able to get bail within 24-hours of his arrest on October 1. The case has been registered under sections 354-D and 506 of IPC.

He alleged that as soon as Ajith was out on bail he started threatening the victim and her mother to withdraw the complaint against him or face dire consequences.

The victim along with her mother once again approached the Inspector of Police, Chatrinaka Police Station, and gave a fresh complaint but no action was taken.

The MBT leader brought the incident to the notice of DGP Anurag Sharma and City Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy.
