New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday met Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal in New Delhi and discussed various issues pertaining to power sector in the state. Minister for Power Jagdish Reddy and TRS MPs accompanied the Chief Minister.
During the meeting, KCR is said to have raised the issue of environmental clearance to the Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant taken up by the state government which is facing hurdles from the National Green Tribunal.
The sub-critical technology power plant will produce 1070 MW power. The sources also said that KCR had discussed the issues like provision of better power infrastructure to the state and also various incentives to the state under solar power generation.
