Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Councii Mohammed Ali Shabbir alleged that the conditions of the Scheduled Tribes in the State had deteriorated.
Addressing a media conference on Friday, Shabbir Ali said the government had had done little for the welfare of STs except issuing glossy advertisements and giving populist slogans.
The government had failed in implementing ST sub-plan introduced during the Congress regime. The State government had apparently not spent Central funds for the welfare of STs.
Shabbir Ali released the calendar, posters and charter of demands on Friday. Girijana Rana Shankaravam will be organised by the Tribal Joint Action Committee of all tribal forums at Nizam college grounds on April 23.
