Ibrahimpur village in Telangana bags prestigious honour
Ibrahimpur village in Siddipet District is garnering limelight once again for the right reasons. Last year, the village was declared as the first \'Mosquito-Free\' Village in Telangana, became South India\'s First cashless village and even was declared Open Defecation Free.
Ibrahimpur village in Siddipet District is garnering limelight once again for the right reasons. Last year, the village was declared as the first 'Mosquito-Free' Village in Telangana, became South India's First cashless village and even was declared Open Defecation Free.
Now, this village has been conferred by the Prime Minister's Office with Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Award for effectively organizing Gram Sabhas.
The prestigious award will be presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24th, 2017 at National Panchayat Raj Day celebrations in Lucknow.
Representing Siddipet Assembly Constituency, Irrigation Minister Harish Rao expressed his joy over the honour and asserted that the co-operation of the villagers made the achievement possible.
