Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) MD G V Ramana Rao has been nominated as chairperson of standing committee (Traffic & Transport Policy) of ASRTU (Association of State Road Transport Undertakings). The TSRTC MD would hold the position of chairperson, ASRTU till 2018.

As per the memorandum of ASRTU, the chairperson has discretion to select fifteen members from among the nominations of officials not below the rank of the head of the department from the member STUs subject to the condition that three members should be chosen from each of the five zones.
