SCCL employees climb cell tower demanding hereditary jobs

Mancherial: Twenty-three persons climbed onto a mobile phone tower at Srirampur under Naspur mandal on Monday demanding recruitment of SCCL workers wards under hereditary job scheme.
However, they relented and came down the tower when the police intervened and assured them that steps would be taken to resolve their problems.
SCCL Hereditary Employees’ Association president Srinivas said the recruitment on the basis of hereditary in the SCCL hit road block in the Supreme Court because of the State government’s attitude.
He demanded that the SCCL issue a circular and give jobs to wards of the SCCL employees on the basis of their fitness.
They called off the agitation at the intervention of the police and threatened to intensify it if their demands were not met.
