Nalgonda: Stating that the Central government was committed to extend any kind of help needed by the State government, BJP national president Amit Shah said the NDA government was giving Rs 20,000 crore every year to Telangana for various development activities in addition to Rs one lakh crore it had so far given.

Addressing a meeting of booth level party workers at Peddadevulapally in Nalgonda district, Amit Shah said the centre was committed for the development of Telangana. Many educational and health institutions were sanctioned to the State. Whatever is needed to be done for Telangana, the Modi government would do, he added.

The BJP leader reiterated that the TRS government in the State was not implementing the schemes announced by the centre. “We are not standing far away from Hyderabad but there are problems like drinking water and clean toilets. Women are also not getting pensions,” Shah said.

Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is standing like a rock when it comes to the security of the country, Shah said the government had raised the morale of armed forces of the country through surgical strikes and had taken up several developmental and welfare programmes for the poor.

He said Modi government brought schemes for all sections including Dalits, Tribals, and farmers aiming at development of all. The BJP president called upon the people of the State to make Telangana part of the Vikas Yatra. He said, ''The way BJP leaders are striving in the State for the last two years I am confident that BJP will form government in the State in the coming days.''

He further said under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Vistarak Yojna, the party would be expanded even at places where BJP is not strong. ''The way in which I am touring Nalgonda for three days, about 4 lakh active workers of the party will be visiting villages explaining people about the Modi government at the Centre,'' said Shah.

The BJP chief visited different houses in the village and interacted with the families knowing about their problems. He participated in the community lunch with the villagers.
