Hyderabad: Even as the police custody of the directors of Trinity Infra Ventures Limited ended on Friday in connection with 693 acres of land scam in Miyapur, another case of land grabbing related to the same group company surfaced with the suspension of incharge sub-registrar in Ranga Reddy district.
The authorities of Stamps and Registration Department have suspended the incharge sub-registrar, Saleha Qadeer, who had registered about 50 acres of government land showing P S Parthasarathy and 17 others – all directors in Goldstone Technologies – as the owners of the land. The registration was made in the name of Gadwala Vijayalakshmi.
This fraudulent transaction came to light after the Stamps and Registration Department began verifying all the registrations made under ‘anywhere registration’ facility.
According to officials, about 3,200 acres of government and forest land in Survey No. 36 was available in Dandumailaram village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Ranga Reddy district. Officials also said that Parthasarathy claimed in the document that the company has acquired right over 2,000 acres of property through a registration in 2007.
Based on the 2007 registration, Parthasarathy and others transferred about 50 acres of land in the name of Vijayalakshmi. The attempt to transfer the land in the name of Vijayalakshmi was made in 2015 but the document was kept pending for over a year by the then officials.
However, Saleha Qadeer, who worked as incharge sub-registrar for a brief period between 2015 and 2016 registered the illegal transaction allowing the land sharks legitimise the sale of government land, officials said.
After the illegal transaction came to light, authorities suspended Saleha Qadeer, who had been working as senior assistant in the Ibrahimpatnam sub-registrar office for the last seven years. The authorities also ordered a departmental inquiry into the entire transactions related to Goldstone group of companies in Ibrahimpatnam SRO.
Meanwhile, the 3-day custody of Parthasarathy, PVS Sharma and Kukatpally sub-registrar Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao in the Miyapur land scam ended on Friday evening. They would be sent back to prison on Saturday morning.
Sources said the three accused did not cooperate with the interrogators, while Srinivasa Rao is said to have told the police time and again that he did no wrong as he followed the rules prescribed in the Stamps and Registration Act.
On the other hand, Parthasarathy and Sharma too have not revealed anything about the role of Goldstone Prasad and his whereabouts.
