``To reach out the younger generation, we want to enter into new activities which would help to play a constructive role in the society,” said SVK Trust secretary Vinay Kumar.

Giving reasons behind SVK entering into new areas like starting a film training school in July this year, he said that film and television are two important mediums to reach out to people. In these days, young people are coming up with lot of new ideas about society, people and various other issues. However, they are lacking expertise and proper training to enter into film and television fields. They are finding it difficult to undergo training as the fee for such courses are unaffordable.

It was against this backdrop that the SVK wants to equip the youth with necessary technical and non-technical skills offering training on no-profit basis. SVK feels that this would help the youth to expresstheir ideas, to produceshort films, which has become a big hit these days. The training would include, acting, script writing, editing and other areas in the film and television domain, he said.

That apart, animation and multimedia are the other areas providing not only employment opportunities but also unraveling the creativity talents among the young people. So, the SVK has decided to start an animation and multimedia training schools to train the young people in these areas.

Sports are another area in which the SVK has decided to enter into this year. This is to tap the talent among the young and make them realise their potential by following a healthy life style. For this, a swimming pool and a training centreto impart skills in football, trekking and hockey would be started at SVK, Gachibowli.

Similarly, keeping in view the raising costs of medicines and diagnostic lab services, the SVK has already launched a diagnostic lab, generic medicines centreand a clinic for the poor and lower-middle class sections at SVK in Baghlingampally, Vinay Kumar added.
