Upset with this move, the students staged protests at the vice chancellor's office raising slogans 'we want justice' and demanded power restoration.

Many students rued that they are preparing for competitive exams and cutting off basic needs like power and water supply is completely unfair.

While the University assured to restore the power and water supply, they informed that the supply would be uninterupted till June 23 following which the protests stopped.
