Navdeep’s tip leads to Kajal manager’s arrest
In a new twist to the drug scandal in Tollywood, actress Kajal Agarwal\'s manager Ronnie was arrested here on Monday. According to Excise and Prohibition Department, Ronnie had also worked as manager for two other actresses -- Lavanya Tripathi and Raashi Khanna in Telugu film industry.
Hyderabad: In a new twist to the drug scandal in Tollywood, actress Kajal Agarwal's manager Ronnie was arrested here on Monday. According to Excise and Prohibition Department, Ronnie had also worked as manager for two other actresses -- Lavanya Tripathi and Raashi Khanna in Telugu film industry.
The SIT officials, who recovered packets of narcotic substance during their raid on his residence, suspect that he has close links with the drug peddlers.
Ronnie is also the manager of actress Megha Akash, who is poised to make her debut. It is believed that he has connections with some heavyweights in film industry and his arrest could lead to revelation of several other names who have links with drug mafia from the cine world.
He is currently being questioned by the authorities. Roni was arrested based on the revelations made by actor Navdeep during his interrogation by SIT officials. According to Commissioner Excise and Prohibition R Chandravadan, so far 27 people from various areas have been questioned.
They are also seeking the help from police, narcotics department and legal experts. He said so far, they have arrested 19 persons of whom six are main accused which includes Calvin and Anish Dundu.
