Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has urged the NALSAR University of Law to introduce Certificate courses.
Delivering university's 15th Convocation Address at Justice City campus on Saturday, KCR said the university should expand its courses and programmes to other parts of the State.

The Chief Minister said although the university was yet to complete two decades of its establishment, it had secured a unique identity in law education across the country. More number of Excellence Centres should be established for promotion of higher studies.

KCR also announced that the State government would allot another 22 acres of land to enable the university to construct new buildings. He also promised support in modernisation and upgradation of university campus. He asked the NALSAR University to be a partner in turning the dream of 'Bangaru (Golden) Telangana' into a reality.

Earlier, the Chief Minister gave gold medals to 49 students for various achievements. Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad and NALSAR Chancellor Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and the Chief Minister conferred degrees and diplomas on the 406 successful candidates in PhD, LLM, LLB, MBA and Postgraduate as well as postgraduate diploma programmes. NALSAR Vice-Chancellor Prof Faizan Mustafa, Registrar Prof Bala Kishta Reddy and other senior officials were also present.
