Harish Rao to open Palemvagu today

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao will inaugurate the long-pending Palemvagu medium irrigation project in Bhupalpally district on Monday.
The project, which will irrigate 10,132 acres in Venkatapuram and Vajedu mandals, has been pending for want of forest clearance since 2005.
The Irrigation Minister took personal interest for the clearances and also got Rs 200 crore allocated for the completion of the project at a fast pace. The total reservoir capacity of Palemvagu is 1.260 TMC.
Harish Rao has regularly held review meetings with all the departments concerned and addressed the problems on a day-to-day basis to complete the works.
