TRS asks EC to extend deadline for revision of electoral rolls

​Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Sunday requested the Election Commission of India (ECI) to extend the deadline by 15 days for revision of electoral rolls in Greater Hyderabad.

The issue was discussed during the meeting of TRS party's Hyderabad leaders held at Telangana Bhavan on Sunday. The meeting was attended by Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, MLA Maganti Gopinath, MLC Srinivas Reddy, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin, corporators and other leaders. Addressing the meeting, Nayani asked the TRS cadre to ensure enrolment of all eligible persons in the electoral rolls. He said that the TRS has already set up booth-level committees in all the constituencies of Hyderabad.
