Woman makes suicide bid at Secretariat

The woman, R Swapna, claiming to be the wife of Saikumar, who is working in Chilakalaguda police station, came to the Secretariat to meet the Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy. But the security did not allow her to meet the Minister.
Hyderabad: A woman allegedly attempted suicide by swallowing sleeping pills at the Secretariat, here on Friday. The woman, R Swapna, claiming to be the wife of Saikumar, who is working in Chilakalaguda police station, came to the Secretariat to meet the Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy. But the security did not allow her to meet the Minister.
The disappointed woman tried to kill self by swallowing sleeping pills. The security personnel said that she did not take any tablets, but fainted on the spot. She was immediately shifted to a private hospital. She came to the Secretariat to complain against Saikumar, who was allegedly cheating her. The Police Commissioner ordered an enquiry into the incident.
