Azharuddin ready to work for Congress in Telangana

With Telangana Congress inviting former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin to contest the 2019 elections from the state, the latter expressed his readiness to work for the party in Telangana.

Speaking in this regard, Azharuddin said that he is honoured with the invitation extended to him by Telangana Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy and will work accordingly with the high command.

Addressing a public event in Hyderabad on Saturday, Azharuddin pointed out that he already campaigns for the party at different places in the country and asserts that the Congress government will come in Telangana if they work together.

The assembly elections in Telangana are scheduled to be conducted simultaneously with Lok Sabha polls in 2019.
