Nalgonda: Telugu Desam state spokesperson Karnati Vidya Sagar mocked at the State government over beautifying the important routes and for improving civic infrastructure of Hyderabad in the wake of US president’s daughter Ivanka Trump’s tour. He also questioned about the lack of basic amenities in slums and low-lying areas in the capital city.
Addressing the newsmen during a media interaction at party district office on Sunday, he said all sections of people in the State were angry with the functioning of TRS government.
He said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son KT Rama Rao have failed to keep their promise of providing safe drinking water to fluoride-hit areas in the district, particularly in severely-affected Munugodu Assembly constituency. In this regard, the party Munugodu constituency unit is planning to conduct a dharna at the venue of foundation stone laid at the proposed reservoir under Dindi Lift Irrigation Project in the constituency, he informed.
He demanded the State government to bail out farmers from financial crisis by announcing a suitable compensation package to the farmers whose crops were damaged due to the untimely rains and infections. NTR statue unveiled
Kodad: Telugu Desam state president L Ramana stated that party would go alone in 2019 elections and show its strength with the blessings of people and cadre.
On Sunday, he along with Ravula Chandra Shekar and Bollam Mallaiah Yadav unveiled the statue of party founder and former Chief Minister late NT Rama Rao at Dorakunta village of Kodad mandal in Suryapet district.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramana said the State government had failed in keeping its poll promises. Taking peoples’ problems and government failures as an agenda, the party leaders would soon conduct a State-wide padayatra covering all the Assembly constituencies in the state, he informed.
He further accused the Congress leaders of ignoring peoples’ issues and dancing to the tunes of state government. “Congress leaders during their regime embezzled funds in the name of Jalayagnam. Following their footsteps, the TRS leaders continuing the same in the name of Mission Bhagiratha,” he slammed.
Stating that TDP had witnessed both success and failures in its 35 years of political journey, he informed that party will prove its mettle in 2019 elections.
