In a sinister crime committed by a woman who murdered her husband in an attempt to swap him with her lover through plastic surgery, the latest reports reveal that a bowl of mutton soup had revealed the crime.

The shocking crime was committed by a 27-year-old nurse, M Swathi who was married to Sudhakar Reddy for three years and they also had a child.

In a bid to get rid of her husband to live with her lover, Rajesh, a physiotherapist, they executed the plan by injecting anesthesia to Sudhakar on November 27 and hit him on his head resulting in his death. Later, they dumped and burnt the body in the forests.

To cover up his disappearance, Swati poured a small amount of acid on Rajesh’s face and informed her husband’s relatives that unknown persons had attacked him.

Rajesh was rushed to a corporate hospital in Hyderabad, where doctors advised plastic surgery. While the plan was about to succeed, Sudhakar’s relatives got suspicious when Rajesh refused to have mutton soup served to patients with burn injuries further shocking them as he told the hospital staff he is vegetarian when in fact, the real Sudhakar was not.

Noticing changes in his behavior, the relatives questioned him on several matters, however, he later stopped talking altogether which led them to involve the police who grilled Swati. She eventually confessed to killing her husband with the help of Rajesh.

On Sunday, police arrested Swati and Rajesh will be taken into custody today after his discharge from the hospital.
