Hyderabad: Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy on Wednesday said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) was ready for early elections if the Centre brought up the proposal and claimed that the TRS would be in power for the next 15 years.

The Home Minister was speaking at the Tourism Plaza on the occasion of P Bhoopati Reddy taking charge as the Chairman of Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC). Narasimha Reddy said, “Narendra Modi is talking of going for early polls. We are ready for early polls and the TRS is going to win and be in power for the next 15 years.

Narasimha Reddy said Bhoopati Reddy should have got the post long time ago, nevertheless he got a good post. There were many tourist places in the State and the Tourism Minister was striving for the development of tourism in the State, he said, adding that Telangana was number one in the country. Narasimha Reddy said Bhoopati Reddy was also a hard-working person.

The Home Minister said it was very rare to see a leader coming out of a movement becoming a Chief Minister but for Telangana, Chandrashekar Rao became the Chief Minister and it had been a blessing for the State. He further said the Chief Minister had brought many welfare schemes for the people. Finance Minister Eatala Rajender said the Tourism was the favourite department of Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao and he had selected Bhoopati Reddy for this post. He said the Chief Minister always told that posts would come one day for people who had faith, and this had happened now. He assured full support to the Tourism Corporationb chairman.

Bhoopati Reddy thanked the Chief Minister the for appointment and said he would fulfil his responsibilities in the same way in which he had participated in the Telangana agitation alongside Chandrashekar Rao. He recalled that he was associated with Chandrashekar Rao since 2001. “When Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao asked me to join him in his fight for separate State, I was the one who said I would fulfil whatever responsibility was given.

I have been with the Chief Minister even in difficult times and did my part during the Telangana agitation,” said Bhoopati Reddy. Minister A Chandulal, MP K Prabhakar Reddy, MLA E Ravinder Reddy, Satheesh and others were also present.
