Karimnagar Ranks will be given to districts after inspecting all the villages present in every district, said Swachh Bharat Mission Director Sonali Gosh. She held a video conference with the district collectors to discuss about Swachh Bharat Mission from New Delhi on Thursday evening.

Speaking on the occasion, she said agencies, appointed by Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, will check the awareness of the villagers about Swachh Bharat, about the facility provided through individual sanitary latrines (ISLs) and their use and ISLs constructed at public places like temples, churches, masjids, gurudwara etc.

After inspecting all villages along with collecting complete information from the people and public representatives about Swachh Bharat Mission being implemented in their respective localities, the representatives of the agencies will send the details through online to the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation.

Based on these reports submitted by the agencies, ranks will be allotted to districts and Swachh Bharat awards will be presented to the districts, which score top ranks, on October 2, on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

District Collector Sarfaraj Ahmad, District Rural Development Officer Venkatesh Rao, UNISEF coordinator Kishan Swamy, Swachh Bharat Mission representatives Ramesh, Venu and Prasad participated in the video conference.
