Hyderabad: The residents of Secunderabad were in for a shock again as the Local Military Authority (LMA) barred citizens from entering the Gough Road on Monday night. On the stroke of 10 pm, jawans stopped commuters and RTC buses from entering the road. Radha, a pregnant woman who was with her hubby was seen pleading with the jawans but to no avail.
The Army personnel just said that they would not allow anyone citing security reasons. It may be noted that just a few months ago, the Defence Ministry had instructed all the 62 cantonments in the country to reopen all the roads only after taking public opinion and informing their respective Cantonment Board members.
The jawans just pointed towards a board on which it was stated that the gate would be closed for all civilians, serving personnel and ex-servicemen from 8 pm to 6 am from August 13 to August 18 and requested the commuters to use Trimulgherry junction
