Kothagudem: The Teacher Day was celebrated on a grand scale across the district on Wednesday. Students paid respect to their teachers at various programmes held in the maldal and district headquarters.
At an event organized at Kothagudem club, Joint Collector K Venkateswara Rao felicitated 41 best teachers in the district. Inaugurating the programme, he garlanded the portrait of former President late Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and remembered his services as a teacher.
“Teachers can do bring revolution in society,” he added. He explained the values of a teacher and how he guides the students in building up their career. Sub –Collector Bhavesh Mishra, District Educational Officer D Vasanthi, Municipal Chairman PGeetha and other officers attended the programme.
