Chanchalguda: A beautician who was lured of good job in Gulf was later found to be beavering away in a remote place in Kuwait as a housemaid. She was rescued with the active cooperation of Kanchanbagh police and local politician. Malan Shaikh Noor who was 18 years was shown as 22 years by fake documents made by the manpower agents in Hyderabad. The accused Tasleem Begum and her Husband Nawaz, residents of Shalibanda, and Saleem, a resident of Shaheen Nagar lured her with a promise of a lucrative job.

These agents allegedly made her passport, Aadhaar and EPIC showing her age as 22 years. However, she was taken to Kuwait on May 8 this year on a visit visa which expired on July 13. Meanwhile, she was received by another agent and was shifted to a remote place in Kuwait and was asked to work as a housemaid instead of a beautician. This was a very peculiar case to be solved, as her mother Rukhiya Begum was not having details of her passport, visa or her location in Kuwait. It was because of the help of Inspector of police, Kanchanbagh Police Station, that we got all details and finally she was rescued. She has been rescued after much persuasion by Indian Embassy in Kuwait,” said Amjed Ullah Khan, spokesperson, MBT.

Earlier, the beautician’s distressed mother had approached Khan, who took up her case and took help of police in tracing the victim Malan. He wrote to Sushma Swaraj, Union Minister for External Affairs. “A criminal case should be booked against such agents who cheat people,” added the MBT leader. Malan’s family thanked Sushma Swaraj, Amjed Ullah Khan, Indian Embassy in Kuwait and Inspector of Police Kanchanbagh.
