Vikarabad: Collector M Hanumantha Rao paid floral tribute to Konda Laxman Bapuji’s portrait on the occasion of his 103rd birth anniversary celebrations here on Thursday. He said that Konda Laxman Bapuji dedicated his life for the development of Telangana. The collector said that the Horticultural University was named after Konda Laxman Bapuji.
When representatives of various associations requested to allot land for Bapuji Bhavan, the collector assured them to send proposals to the government. Cultural programmes by students of various schools enthralled the audience. District backward classes development officer Kesuram, Srikanth Reddy, leaders of various caste associations G Raju, G Satyanarayana, Beeraiah Yadav, K Venugopal, Kummari Sailu, Prashanth Yadav, Ch Ramulu, Ramesh Goud were present.
